Krista, one of Happy’s Support Givers

  • Meet Krista, one of Happy’s Extraordinary “Support Givers”

With over 11 years of experience in Emergency Management, Krista has spent her career stepping into high-pressure situations where help was needed most. As an Incident Commander, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Manager, and Hazmat Responder, she has led crisis response efforts with a steady hand and a compassionate heart. Her work in Search and Rescue—both on the ground and via ATV—placed her on the front lines of life-saving operations, while her role on the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team allowed her to provide immediate emotional support to those facing unimaginable hardship.

Beyond emergency response, Krista has been a steadfast source of psychological first aid and crisis support, offering comfort to first responders, victims, and their families during moments of profound distress. She also spent several years supporting Airmen at Nellis Air Force Base and Scott Air Force Base, as well as soldiers with the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Germany. Through these experiences, she gained deep insight into the unique challenges faced by military personnel and their families, strengthening her ability to provide compassionate, informed support.

Her commitment to service is also deeply personal—her son served in the Marine Corps with MARSOC for over seven years before being honorably discharged due to injuries. Through her own journey as a mother and caregiver, Krista intimately understands resilience, the weight of service, and the profound need for human connection.

Now, embracing a quieter life off-grid in the desert, Krista spends her days surrounded by her beloved dogs and cats. But her mission remains the same: to be there for those in need. At Happy, she brings her years of experience, empathy, and deep understanding of human resilience to every conversation—offering immediate, nonjudgmental emotional support with no barriers, no steps required.

Krista embodies what it means to be a Support Giver: someone who listens without judgment, provides comfort without hesitation, and creates a space where people feel truly seen and supported.
